Campers spend the week conducting more than 25 fascinating and fun chemistry experiments. Emphasis is on safety, chemistry history, proper use of chemistry lab equipment, and an introductory understanding of chemical symbols and reactions. This camp is a great way to prepare for high school and even college chemistry. Experiments include: metal flame tests, paper chromatography races, fluorescent polymer slime production, litmus indicator solutions and many more! Did you know that red cabbage juice can be used to detect acids and bases? Or that you can extract the DNA from a strawberry? Learn how to make the flames in a fire change colors and build a safe smoke bomb! Join us for a great week of chemistry and reactions!

This document covers everything from Club SciKidz policies to camp dates and security issues.
The Welcome Packet mentions an ‘Administration of Medicine Form’. If your child requires any medications during the time he/she is at the camp (including an Epi pen or inhaler), please download this form and print it, have it completed & signed by your doctor, and bring it with the child on the first day of camp.
