School Break Programs
Do your kiddos need something to do when they have a day off school? We have a few different options for you to choose from! All programs run through Howard County Rec & parks and run from 9am-3:30pm, with an optional before care (8am-9am) and after care (3:30pm-5pm).

Winter Break Programs
Tuesday, 12/26-Friday, 12/29 Adventure Chefs (Cooking) @ Harriet Tubman Cultural Center
There’s no better time than Winter Break to go on a colossal kitchen adven- ture! We’ll be “traveling” to different places and using each destination as
our inspiration for all the delicious treats and creative crafts we’ll be making. Travel to the deep blue sea, the land of dinosaurs, the galaxies in outer space, and more! As we learn about each place, not only will be making delicious recipes, but we’ll be learning basic kitchen skills and safety! We’ll be whipping up amazing recipes and unforgettable adventures!
Tuesday, 12/26-Friday, 12/29 Snowpocalypse (Science) @ Roger Carter Community Center
Learn all about snow and winter in this Winter-themed science workshop. Create your own snow globes, create crystals and your own crystal snow- flakes. Discover how polar bears stay warm in the winter and create your own snowball launcher. Learn about chromatography by creating your own chromatography snowflakes. Become an engineer and build your own igloo. Dive into the world of chemistry and create your own fake snow, plus many more projects! Projects go home with campers.
