Robot Engineer Ages 9-12
This camp is revised for Summer 2019.
Price varies by location (includes $50 lab fee)
Tons of great building projects with our Robotic Arm and Kingii Dragon Robot. Campers will also learn to solder when they build the Blinky robot!
The OWI, Inc. Robotic Arm Edge is the perfect learning tool for understanding the inner workings of a robot that is identical in nature to the robots being used in industry today. With Robotic Arm Edge, command the gripper to open and close, wrist motion of 120 degrees, an extensive elbow range of 300 degrees, base rotation of 270 degrees, base motion of 180 degrees, vertical reach of 15 inches, horizontal reach of 12.6 inches, and lifting capacity of 100g. WOW! Some of the added features include a search light design on the gripper and a safety gear audible indicator is included on all five gear boxes to prevent any potential gear breakage during operation. How does this equate to fun? See our video!

Let’s work together to be a part of the larger conversation of energy efficiency and celebrate environmental friendliness and sustainability. Empower your children with the knowledge to make our world a better place to live. With that concept, OWI has fabricated a simple mini solar kit to engage curiosity and awareness.
Dodeca 12 in 1 SolarHydraulic Robot
Dodeca 12 in 1 SolarHydraulicRobot is Massive, it’s Reinforced (Harvesting the power of the Sun with a Double XL Solar Panel and a Hydraulic Transmission)
This new kit will teach your camper how to engineer a robot that uses solar and hydraulic power in harmony, while challenging manual dexterity, and developing self-confidence.
Dodeca 12 in 1 SolarHydraulic Robot’s gear box is a true duel threat as it is powered by direct sunlight, and a hydraulic transmission. No batteries are required. With Dodeca, children are able to actively learn two forms of alternative energy while they create and use their infinite imagination. With alternative energy playing such a pivotal role, there is no better time than now to start children on the path to learning basic concepts behind these technologies.
Dodeca has 12 exciting forms that can be separated in two animated building modes: Automotive (Buggy, Obstacle Avoiding Rover, Excavator, Forklift) and Animals (Elephant, Pterosaurs, Monkey, Ostrich, T-Rex, Crocodile, Scorpion, Dog-Walker)
As the saying goes, “Our children are the future.” And if anything is certain about that future, it is that renewable energy sources and green technologies will play a major role in our children’s lives.

Forms & Resources
Getting ready for camp should be an exciting process for your entire family. Many families attend multiple camps throughout the summer. For your convenience we have posted our Welcome Packet in the form of a parent newsletter on-line in PDF format. This document covers everything from Club SciKidz policies to camp dates and security issues.
The Welcome Packet mentions an ‘Administration of Medicine Form’. If your child requires any medications during the time he/she is at the camp, please download this form and print it, fill in the required information, and bring it with the child on the first day of camp.
Online Camp Evaluation
After camp is completed, please take the time to complete our online survey. The survey is instrumental in providing feedback so we can continue to make Club SciKidz the best science and technology camp it can be!
