As summer has turned into fall, we know that things still look a little different, and we want to provide you with as many programming options as possible. In addition to our in-person programming, we are excited to announce our new Virtual After School Programs and Virtual Events!
Virtual After School Programs
Join us for these exciting, new, virtual LIVE programs in our Online Classroom! There are four classes in each session and each class lasts 45 minutes and includes a lesson taught by an instructor along with the accompanying themed materials, brought to you by Club SciKidz Lab.
Once you register, you'll receive the box (mailed to you USPS Priority Mail) of materials. Then just log in at your assigned day and time for the class! The class will work on 1-2 of the projects during the 45-minute session. You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone. It is recommended that you have a stable internet connection with at least 25mbps for streaming video. Headphones and a distraction free environment will also enhance your virtual experience.
All classes will be recorded so if you miss one, no worries. A lesson booklet also accompanies each box so that activities can be performed on your own if needed. There are no refunds given on our Virtual After School Programs.
Programs will be held Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting the week of November 10, 2020. No class will be held on the week of Thanksgiving. Check below for our schedule! Registration closes 10/30.
The word robot is derived from the Czech word "robota", which means "forced work or labor." The Greek mathematician Archytas built the first known robot in 400 B.C. This wooden bird was powered by steam and could "fly" 200 ft. In the late 1400's, Leonardo da Vinci made plans for a humanoid robot. Robots and robotics, the science and study of robots, have come along way since then.

Once you register, you'll receive a Welcome Email will all of the information you'll need. If your program includes materials, they'll be mailed to you. You'll also receive the link to the live Zoom class and the recorded class.
Whether you're participating in the live class or the recorded class, the event will include instruction and hands-on activities that will keep participants engaged, learning, and having fun!
You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone. It is recommended that you have a stable internet connection with at least 25mbps for streaming video. There are no refunds given on our Virtual Events.
