Virtual Programs
As summer has turned into fall, we know that things still look a little different, and we want to provide you with as many programming options as possible. In addition to our in-person programming, we are excited to announce our NEW Science Together: Near & Far events, Virtual After School Programs and Virtual Events!
Club SciKidz MD St. Paddy's Day Science
Join Club SciKidz MD for a special St. Patrick's Day virtual event! We will use St. Patrick's Day as our theme as we do some pretty amazing hands-on science! Our Preschool Program (Preschool-Kindergarten) will explore chemical reactions with Fizzing Shamrocks and take a closer look at rainbows and experiment creating our own rainbows. Our Elementary Program will give kiddos the challenge of helping their leprechaun capture the pot of gold using magnets and using rainbows to create an amazing light show! Both groups will have a chance to discover exactly how leprechauns brush their teeth!
The class will also hands-on experiments and an themed craft project! Materials are included and will be mailed to the participant. See below to find out what materials you'll need from home.

Science Together: Near & Far
In the current environment, we can’t always be together with our family & friends like we’d like to be. This new program gives family and friends, both near and far, the chance to do fun and educational hands-on science activities together.
Your Science Together event will be private for your group. You select the topic and schedule it at a date and time that works for your group. Events can be held evenings, weekends and some weekdays during the day. Your event will last about 45-60 minutes. Let us know how many participants there will be, and we will mail the materials directly to each participant. Each participant will receive the Zoom link and an information sheet about the event so that they’re ready for the big day. If there are others (ie grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) that would like to join to watch, they are welcome to do so! This is a time to learn and have fun together as family and friends and to have the chance to connect with one another, whether you’re near or far.
Activities are designed to work for groups of children of mixed ages (4-11 years old) and instruction will be geared to the age of the children participating. The cost is $15 per participant (child who receives materials to participate). For younger siblings (ages 3 and under), materials can be purchased at a reduced rate. We want everyone to be able to join in on the fun and learning!
How do I sign up?
Talk with family/friends to determine how many children would like to participate and which topic you’d like to do. Then designate one person to be the “coordinator”. The coordinator will register and pay for the correct number of participants. Your confirmation email will contain a link to the form where you will fill out the topic you’d like, date & time options, and name, age and addresses of each of the participants. Please try to allow at least two weeks between registration and the date of your event, to ensure materials have time to be shipped and arrive in time. We’ll confirm with you the time and date of your event and then we’ll do the rest! We’ll send all participants the Zoom link and the materials. You are welcome to send the Zoom link to others like grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. who might enjoy being part of the fun.
If you have any questions or would like to confirm a time and date prior to registering, just give us a call! Andrea @ 267-250-0172
