Wednesday 4/22: Chlorophyll Prints

April 22, 2020 by Club SciKidz MD

We saw their parts and how they grow, but what do they eat?

Today we will take our look at plants a bit deeper. We know one of the things plants need to survive and thrive is food, but what exactly is that? Do you need to order them something fro Door Dash on your next order?? How exactly does one feed a plant?? All very good questions. Let’s take a closer look.

Photosynthesis, The Dr. Binocs Show– Primary (K-2)

Photosynthesis Song– Primary & Intermediate (K-5)

How do plants eat? What is photosynthesis?– Intermediate (3-5)

Photosynthesis in plants– Intermediate (3-5)

Experiment Time: Chlorophyll Prints!

Now that you know how plants “eat” and make food, you’ve now an expert with terms like photosynthesis and chlorophyll, we’re ready to get a first hand look at the stuff! While this activity can be done inside, you will need to go outside to collect a few different kinds of leaves. If it’s nice outside, it’s also a great activity to do outside. Materials: plain pieces of white paper, leaves, paper towels, hammer/mallet

Travel Deep Inside a Leaf– Primary & Intermediate (K-5) SO COOL!! 🙂
